We all grew to know and live the hero that was Nelson Mandela. The news of his passing last week saddened the world.
Nelson Mandela was born in South Africa July 18, 1918. He spent 27 years in prison because of causing trouble, rebelling, and having his own ideals.
When released he was elected president of South Africa and helped bring racial equality in South Africa.
He died December 5, 2013.
In honour of the legend we all know and love, Nelson Mandela, I give to you some of his most memorable quotes.
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, bu the triumph over it. the brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear”
“It always seems impossible until it’s done.”
“There is no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way it treats it children.”
“Resentment is like drinking poison and hoping it will kill your enemies.”
Rest in peace Nelson Mandela.
