True to some degree, but I find it interesting that you refer to authors as a God.
The word ‘god’, represented with a lowercase letter, refers to an idol of any kind, or someone with godlike power over something. Creative writing allows you to express your own ideas and opinions, and let your creativity show. Therefore I felt it appropriate to refer to an author of a creative writing piece a ‘god’.
Some rock stars are ‘gods’. Bruce pringsteen, David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Jimmy Page, Eddie Van Halen, Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton.
And then there’s Marty St. Louis………..A hockey ‘god.’
That’s Springteen, sorry Bruce.
This is indeed true, for the author has complete power and authority over the world under their creation, with the stroke of a pen they can create new life or they can reduce a city to cinders. The flow of the reality set within the story is completely at the whim of the authors creativity and imagination.
“A writers mind is both their greatest strength and their greatest weakness” – this is one of my favourite sayings and I think it holds a particular truth to it when it comes to creative writing.
